In line with the Provincial Ordinance No. 5 S.2023 and Municipal Resolution No. 74-2023, the Provincial Government of Health from the Department of Health in collaboration with the Municipal Health Office headed by MHO Dr. Deogracias S. Muleta and Rural Health Unit have conducted the ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ก๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ with the theme โMga Kabataang Pag-asa ng Bayan: Gabayan Para Sa Magandang Kinabukasan.โ The workshop will last for two days and involves educational talks as well as creative activities for the participants to learn in an enjoyable way. The topics include teenage pregnancy awareness, sexual abuse, and other health issues that are relevant to the current state of the community.
Municipal Mayor Esteban โDenonโ SF Madrona, Jr. along with Vice Mayor Norman M. Fatalla and the Municipal Administrator attended the workshop in which Mayor Denon has given a message pertaining to the certain stated issues. Teenage pregnancy is being normalized which would lead to poverty and lack of education. Furthermore, Mayor Denon stated that as a community, we must work together to provide resources and education that empower our young people to make informed choices about their sexual health and not ignore or treat these topics as malicious/taboo.
We would like to acknowledge DMO IV/DOH Representative MD, CFP, RN, MPH Ms. Cynthia B. Mayor for sharing with us her knowledge and precious time for the activity as well as the representatives from the Provincial Government of Health.
Together, we can provide accurate information about reproductive health but also foster open and honest discussions about relationships, consent, and the responsibilities that come with sexual activity. Let us stand united in our commitment to the health and success of the next generation.
