Fifteen (15) Elementary Schools and Five (5) High Schools from San Agustin, Romblon together with Six (6) Elementary Schools and One (1) High School from Sta. Maria Romblon will compete in the 2024 District Meet: San Agustin and Sta Maria Athletic Association (SASMAA). In a resounding display of unity and sporting prowess, PSDS Baltazar Mazo have officially opened the event through a short program that set the stage for an exhilarating series of competitions.

On behalf of Mayor Esteban “Denon” SF Madrona, Jr., Municipal Administrator Johnny S. Jesalva have given an inspirational message to the athletes. The good Mayor Denon have allotted a one-million worth fund for sports activities which shows his unwavering support to our precious athletes. Furthermore, SB Dr. Zaldy Marin gave a lively speech to represent Vice Mayor Norman M. Fatalla emphasizing that the SB Members recognize sport as a healthy and productive way of enhancing both physical and mental state which is recommended to all our students. Both Admin Jesalva and SB Marin mentioned the recognition of our talented athlete, Jasmine Manipol Falculan from Brgy. Carmen who was awarded Php 10,000.00 last August 2023 from LGU San Agustin based on the Muncipal Ordinance. She has won a silver medal in the “Palarong Pambansa” 1500M run for elementary level for girls and she led the lighting of the torch for SASMAA opening 2024.

We also acknowledge the MPDO of Sta. Maria, Romblon who attended the event to relay the message of Sta. Maria’s Municipal Mayor Lorelie M. Fabon as well as SB Roland Abero and SB Edgar Mallorca graced the event with their presence.
