𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲

 

The Local Government Unit of San Agustin, Romblon headed by Municipal Mayor Esteban “Denon” SF Madrona, Jr. along with Vice Mayor Norman M. Fatalla, the San Agustin Stations of the Philippine National Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Philippine Coast Guard successfully conducted the municipal-wide clean up drive in the areas of Brgy. Poblacion, San Agustin, Romblon. The activity involves collection of solid wastes, spraying/misting and flushing of canals. Mayor Denon led the teams to areas that needs immediate action. He also spotted households that need proper drainage systems. The plans were all endorsed to ABC President Ruben G. Montesa and Municipal Engineer Marfel Nonato Solidum for a quicker process of procedures.

The barangays, schools and other agencies also conducted a thorough cleanup in their areas of responsibilities. Furthermore, we are very happy to see that a lot of constituents also joined in the cleanup drive.

One day is definitely not enough to clean all the areas of our town. These cleaning activities encourages each of us to 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲. We can start by 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼.

Being 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 is 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 than being 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙. We all hope that all of us are motivated to continue the cleanup activity so that we can prevent the increase of dengue cases (environmental diseases in general) and live in a cleaner space.
